A wonderful blog about vaping and why the government hates it
I haven't posted much on this blog, but I am still vaping and not smoking, but I am still vaping and not smoking. My vapeaversary was on December 29.
Today I ran across this blog, which is an excellent post on why the government doesn't want you to vape. While it is written by a Canadian, it still applies to the US and many other countries. If you are either a vaper, or are concerned about loved ones quitting smoking, you should read this.

Why I Vape
I was a one and a half pack smoker for about 45 years. I have asthma, and lots of allergies, and in spite of many bouts with chronic bronchitis and pneumonia, anda father, father-in-law, and several aunts who died of cancer, I never could quit.
I tried all the other smoking cessation products, under a doctor's supervision, and still couldn't get off the cigarettes. Nicotine and all the other addictive chemicals in cigarettes had a very strong hold on me.
For the last five years, I had been trying those convenience store kits that look like a cigarette, and they gave me hope, but none got me off the cigarettes.
Right after Christmas, I decided to try again. I bought a kit of what turned out to be an Ego type e-cig. It was a battery with a tank that is called a clearo. The clearo in that kit was disposable, but could be filled with any kind of e-liquid I wanted. It held a lot of juice, (that's what I call my e-liquid), and there were tons of flavors. For favors, I definitely didn't want tobacco. I was trying to get away from tobacco, so I chose fruity flavors, desert flavors and coffee flavors.
The juices which were available from our local cigarette shopper weren't very good, but I found some really good ones on line. They had lots of flavor, and the ones I ordered weren't artificial flavors. They were made from Propylene Glycol, (found in asthma inhalers and fog machnes), Vegetable Glycerin, Nicotine, and Flavoring. All the ingredients were either food or pharmaceutical grade and were FDA approved.
The Ego type kits got me off cigarettes immediately. I still had one or two at various times, but a pack of cigarettes lasted me for over a week. My breathing got so much better!
The black battery with the clear top and blue tip is my first Ego battery and clearo. The red and blue ones are Vision Spinners, which I got later. There is an assortment of my first juices in a cosmetics holder.
I've graduated to much fancier things now.
I get most of my equipment from CactusEsmokes. He doesn't pay me or anything for this, he just seems to be the least expensive and most responsive place I have tried.
I'll add more photos of what I am using now, in my next post. I also want to tell people how important it is to me and many others, that we can continue to be able to vape, and have access to the purest and best ingredients.
